Battle Creek City Directories

This collection includes the digitized City Directories for Battle Creek based on the holdings of Willard Library. City directories will contain an alphabetical list of citizens, their addresses and occupations, as well as businesses, for a specific year. The digitization of the Battle Creek City Directories was undertaken to preserve the books due to extensive damage with use; the hard copies are no longer available. The entire collection is available electronically on our computers or through your computer on our network, either inside Willard Library or the Helen Warner Branch. A portion of the directories (1890-1927) is available in the comfort of your home with your Willard Library card.

If you do not have a Willard Library card, and are unable to travel to the library to utilize the collection, you can submit a request here with the information you need. A librarian will search the directories for you and send an electronic copy of the information.
